Iron ore is one of main mineral resources in Nepal with wider distribution. In Nepal, the most rich iron ore resource is hematite, and the second is magnetite. At present, it holds 4 very large iron minings with 23.05 million tons iron ore storage, grade of which is around 30%-66%. It is estimated that the total storage in Nepal is around 25 million tons. In Nepal, Iron mining development is mainly hindered by two aspects. On one hand, due to lack of high-grade coal, it is difficult to smelt raw material. On the other hand, some iron mining is located in environment protectorate so that they can’t be exploited.
